This charming Wells property boasts exquisite indoor and outdoor living spaces that are perfectly suited to all seasons, yet that wasn’t always the case.
Craft Renovations evolved this modern property into a home to be truly proud of, with a sizeable renovation project that was grounded in great attention being paid to the smallest details.
Craft Renovations’ experienced team was briefed to completely refurbish and extend this delightful modern home for our client, a couple downsizing to Wells.
The aim was to create an inviting space that reflected our clients’ tastes while also improved the flexibility of the property’s use, expanding its footprint by seamlessly merging the indoor and outdoor environments.
The property was truly transformed by Craft Renovations with a new country shaker kitchen with in-built wine cooler, the installation of underfloor heating, and extensive plastering and painting throughout the home including a bespoke music room to hose the clients extensive vinyl record collection.
A new floor was introduced to the property as part of the conversion, with an additional space built that creatively converted an existing light well into a functional and highly-inviting library at the very heart of the home, housing a vast collection of books downsized from our clients’ previous residence, a stately home.
The property’s interior was reconfigured sizeably by Craft Renovations’ interiors experts working in collaboration with Klas Hyllén Architecture to create more open place space throughout the home and extra rooms added to bolster its long-term value and use. A luxurious new wet room was installed on the ground floor to enable easy access for the property’s retired owners, built with the future in mind.
The property required extensive refurbishment, painting and rendering to become the home that our clients so richly deserved. A number of unfortunate construction defects from when the property was first built had to be addressed and overcome; we worked in close partnership with our clients to deliver the best results possible within the available budget.
Key to the success of this conversion is the 100 square metres of bespoke decking that now surrounds the home and increases the property’s versatility.
The magnificent decking is capped off by a relaxing water feature and soft landscaping undertaken by Craft Renovations, all designed to maximise and realise the green space’s full potential.
